Please note; We can only accept bookings for caravans, motorhomes and RV owners in the Main field. We are not permitted to allow campers using just a tent as their main accommodation, except in the Meadow or the Paddock.
Facilities
Please check our Facilities page before you book to avoid any disappointment regarding the facilities we provide at Ivy Cottage Caravan Park.
Long Term Bookings and Seasonal Pitches:
We do not offer seasonal pitches or subletting at Ivy Cottage Caravan Site .
The maximum length of stay that can be booked online is 28 days. If you wish to stay for longer, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Settlement:
All booking fees are must be paid at time of booking. We use PayPal to securely process your payment, however you do not need a PayPal account as there is also the option pay via debit card. The price you pay at time of booking is fixed and cannot be changed regardless of any future price reductions or special offers shown on our website for your chosen dates.
Cancellations:
You may cancel your reservation within 7 days of making the booking and receive a full refund of any money paid by sending a message via our contact form. No refunds will be given within 10 days of your arrival date. If you need to cancel your date within 10 days of arrival due to sickness, ill health or other issues we would recommend that you have relevant travel insurance cover in place as we are unable to refund any bookings at short notice of less than 10 days.
In the event that we have to cancel your reservations through closure of Ivy Cottage Caravan Site on the instructions of a competent and authorised authority, then you will receive a full refund of all monies paid to us for that reservation. We will inform you, when it is confirmed, that we will be unable to open for the date of your scheduled arrival. You may reschedule your booking to another date in the same season providing we have the availability for your preferred dates.
Amendments to your booking:
Subject to availability we may agree to change your dates providing you contact us at least 10 days before your arrival date, however, we do charge a fee of £20 to cover administration costs. If you need to amend your date within 10 days of arrival due to sickness, ill health or other issues we would recommend that you have relevant travel insurance cover in place as we are unable to amend any bookings at short notice of less than 10 days.
Arrival and Departure:
Pitches are available from midday on the day of your arrival. They are allocated on a first come first served basis and specific pitches cannot be reserved in advance. Pitches must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure.
Pitching up:
Pitches are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are not generally marked. We ask that due to fire risk and courtesy to other campers, that you leave a distance of 3 meter wide area within the inside of all hedge boundary. There should be not less than a 5 meters between all other units and 3.5 meters at the corners. For those with a plywood or similar skin, it should be not less than 6 meters. Where awnings are used, the distance between any part of the awning and an adjoining caravan, should not be less than 3 meters.

Barbecues and fire-pits:
These are permitted, providing they are raised off the ground. We do not allow open fires on or in contact with the grass.
Dogs:
A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per reservation in the Main Field, the Meadow or the Paddock, however please note dogs are not allowed in the Ivy Cottage Caravan. They must be well controlled and kept on a short lead at all times while they are on site. They should be exercised off site, that is in the woods below the site or on the beach which is dog friendly all year round or the common land above the site. Your dog(s) are your responsibility and any damage to property belonging to other guests or the site, or injury to persons at the site, is your liability.
Visitors:
Due to the fact that we are a relatively small site and in order to maintain site security for our guests, visitors are only allowed on site by prior arrangement. Only persons made known to us are allowed to enter and only after reporting to us.
Noise/Music:
We are a quiet site that accommodates families, and noise levels must be kept down, particularly after dusk. Music may disturb other campers. If it is played it must be at low volume for your ears only. Please be respectful of other campers at all times.
Behaviour:
We hope that everyone enjoys their stay at Ivy Cottage Campsite. We do not encourage heavy drinking of alcohol, and we do not allow illicit drug use or anti-social behaviour. We reserve the right to ask people to leave if we feel that their behaviour is not appropriate or disrespectful to other campers on site or ourselves. Should we consider that the safety of the guests are at risk arising from the behaviour of any persons on our site, then immediate assistance will be requested from the local police.
Data Protection:
The information taken at the time of booking is required to be collected for the purposes of processing your reservation at Ivy Cottage Caravan Site. We do not share your data with anyone, however we may occasionally send you marketing emails with latest news from Ivy Cottage Caravan Site and/or special discount offers.
Telephones:
In the event that you do not have a mobile phone or any signal, then you can access a telephone from Ivy Cottage (white house) in the yard.
